FOES

Hello and welcome to F.O.E.S (Friends of Edlesborough School). We are  the fundraising team for the school and are run by volunteer parents. We are a group of superheroes in disguise and our aim is to raise money for all those ‘extra things’ that the school budget simply does not cover.

In the last few years we have paid for iPads, cameras for each class, provided new play equipment, built a timber ‘story house’, as well provide new playground markings to give the children hours of entertainment in their break times and contributed towards the pre-school playground surface

This year we have been asked by the school to raise the funds for 30 new laptops for the children, along with new teacher laptops and the necessary equipment to accompany them. So far since September we have raised £6000 towards our goal which is a really great amount!

Throughout the year we organise a variety of events that cater for everyones tastes for both children and adults; including  comedy nights, class cake sales, gift wrapping, quiz nights, sponsored walks, 'Elesfest', themed adult parties, as well as the hugely popular termly disco's and film nights for the Children. We have some really exciting new events that are in the early stages of planning and are top secret for the moment but will be happening in the next year, that involve not just the school but also the village, so watch this space!

We also support the school by providing refreshments at Christmas productions, Coffee mornings, Books For Breakfast, Choir services and Sports day, as well as providing the year six leavers with a year book for them to take away with their fond memories of their time at the school.

FOES also support Bags For School and Matchfunding.  For more details, please see the related documents below.

FOES committee:

Elle Laird and Emma Ogden Trevor - Chairs of FOES

Rebecca Newbert - Vice Chair

Jo Morran - Treasurer

We currently have a strong team behind the scenes helping out and providing as much or as little support as they wish, with every job imaginable - FOES wouldn't be FOES without the support and help from our parents, and we welcome new members with open arms - everyone is welcome so please come and say hi.
