There may be unusual circumstances that will require a decision
to close the school, such as extreme weather conditions or
a heating system failure. This could happen whilst pupils
are on the premises or before school starts.
The school has an emergency communications
plan to ensure that parents are informed as quickly as possible
if the need arises. Two local radio stations will be asked
to send out a message:
BBC 3 counties Radio: 103.8 Mhz FM, 630
Khz AM.
Chiltern Radio 97.6 Mhz FM.
Two class representatives - volunteer parents
from each class - will telephone the parents of every child
in their class. If parents are not at home they will try to
contact alternative adults nominated by the parents.
Parents (or nominated adults) should come
and collect their children immediately on being notified.
To ensure our records are accurate, we check
annually on the details to use if we need to contact you in
an emergency. |
